Streamwatch & Bird Monitoring

CLC volunteers actively monitor our properties to ensure our environment is in good health and to make sure our hard work is providing the best possible benefit to our bushland and wildlife.

Streamwatch

Streamwatch is a citizen science water monitoring program that enables community groups to monitor the quality and health of local waterways.

CLC protects 1 kilometer of Mulgoa Creek on our ‘Wallaroo’ property. Our Streamtwatch volunteers test water samples on Mulgoa Creek to ensure the health of this important waterway is maintained.

Streamwatch is run at ‘Wallaroo’ on a monthly basis and new volunteers are always welcome. Dates & contact details are listed on the  CLC Events Calendar.

Bird Monitoring

CLC runs bird monitoring (birdwatching) mornings in partnership with local clubs on a regular basis.

‘Wallaroo’ supports over 162 species of birds including both resident breeders, regular migrants and nomadic visitors.

Bird Monitoring is run at ‘Wallaroo’ on a monthly basis and new volunteers are always welcome. Dates & contact details are listed on the  CLC Events Calendar.
